LiFePO4 Lithium Batteries for Inverters

Solar and backup batteries from 2.56 kWh to 40.96 kWh - smart BMS, 6000+ cycles and a 5-year warranty.

PowerRun lithium batteries use LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) cells, the safest and longest-lasting lithium chemistry for home and commercial energy storage. Each pack has an integrated smart BMS that protects against over-charge, over-discharge and short circuits, with Bluetooth / RS485 monitoring.

Batteries come in two voltages: 25.6 V packs from 100 Ah to 550 Ah (2.56 to 14.08 kWh) for 24 V inverters, and 51.2 V packs from 100 Ah to 800 Ah (5.12 to 40.96 kWh) for 48 V inverters. Every model is rated for 6000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge and carries a 5-year warranty.

How to choose

Match your inverter's voltage

A 24 V inverter needs a 25.6 V battery and a 48 V inverter needs a 51.2 V battery. PowerRun 3.6 kW and 4.2 kW hybrid inverters are 24 V; 6.2 kW and larger are 48 V.

Work out the capacity

Energy (kWh) = voltage x amp-hours / 1000. A 51.2 V 100 Ah battery stores 5.12 kWh; at 80% depth of discharge that is about 4 kWh of usable energy - roughly 4 hours at a steady 1 kW load.

Why LiFePO4 instead of lead-acid

LiFePO4 is maintenance-free (no water topping), delivers thousands more charge cycles and uses far more of its rated capacity, so you need fewer kWh on paper for the same backup.

Plan ahead

If you expect to add solar or more load later, choose the next capacity up now - it is cheaper than adding a second battery bank.

Divide the battery's usable energy by your load. For example, a 51.2 V 100 Ah battery holds 5.12 kWh, about 4 kWh usable at 80% depth of discharge - roughly 4 hours at 1 kW. Our battery calculator does the maths for you.

No. There is no water to top up and no terminals to clean. The BMS balances and protects the cells automatically.
