Which capacity should you buy?
- 110 Ah - shorter city routes, or drivers who can top up the charge during the day.
- 150 Ah - the most popular size for a full single shift.
- 230 Ah - long shifts, full passenger loads or e-loaders carrying goods.
- 314 Ah - fleet owners and heavy daily use; the lowest cost per kWh of the four.
The real cost: price per cycle
The sticker price is only half the story. Divide the price by the rated cycles to see what each full charge costs you in battery wear:
| 51.2 V 110 Ah | ₹12,344 per kWh · about ₹17 per cycle |
| 51.2 V 150 Ah | ₹12,739 per kWh · about ₹24 per cycle |
| 51.2 V 230 Ah | ₹12,874 per kWh · about ₹25 per cycle |
| 51.2 V 314 Ah | ₹10,488 per kWh · about ₹21 per cycle |
The 314 Ah pack costs the most up front, but it stores the most energy per rupee and is rated for twice the cycles of the 110 Ah and 150 Ah packs.
Lithium vs lead-acid for an e-rickshaw
A lead-acid set is cheaper on the first day, but it needs regular water topping, charges slowly and wears out far sooner. A LiFePO4 pack is maintenance-free, charges faster and is rated for thousands of cycles, so the vehicle spends more days earning and the battery is replaced far less often. Our e-rickshaw lithium battery buying guide goes through the switch step by step.
Three checks before you buy
- Voltage. PowerRun packs are 51.2 V, for 48 V / 51.2 V e-rickshaws and e-loaders. Check your controller voltage.
- Charger. A lithium pack needs a 51.2 V LiFePO4 charger. An old lead-acid charger uses the wrong charging profile.
- Space. Measure the battery box in your vehicle before ordering.
